Singer

Ethel has toured with many gospel groups and was a featured jazz vocalist in Germany and Austria for three consecutive summers. A member of Abyssinian Baptist Church, she lends her voice in the choir and is a primary soloist.

A member of the Screen Actors Guild, Ethel has entertained in 12 countries spanning 5 continents appearing in stage, television, and film productions. In October of 2019, Ms. Calhoun became a member of Equity and is excited about performing more in theater.

Holding degrees from Lincoln University and New York University, Ethel has over 20 years of performance and dance instruction, from the community level to the New York stage, Ethel choreographs and teaches the full range of dance styles from West African Dance to liturgical dance.
